Welcome to Ledbury Books and Maps

About us

Ledbury Books and Maps was established in 1987 by David Rippe. Astonishingly, prior to this, Ledbury did not have a bookshop. David saw a gap in the market and spent the next 20 years building up the business. In 2009, David decided to sell the business and retire. Lindsay Jackson took over as owner in April 2010.

Ledbury Books and Maps sells...

books and maps together with a range of classical and easy listening CDs and DVDs and a good selection of greetings cards.

We carry a wide range of titles but if there’s a book we don’t have on the shelves, we can usually order it for you and it will normally be ready to collect within the next day or so.

About Ledbury

Ledbury is a charming market town situated on the eastern side of Herefordshire. The town has a large number of timber-framed buildings, in particular along Church Lane. One of Ledbury's most outstanding buildings is the Market House, located in the centre of the town. Other notable buildings in the area include the parish church, the Painted Room (containing sixteenth century frescoes), and Eastnor Castle.
